Your mission is simple: achieve pleasant and readable text by distributing the space between letters. Typographers call this activity kerning.

This is the introduction into Kern Type - a rather good game for type-lovers everywhere by Mark MacKay for Method of Action. The premise of Kern Type is simple, click on the letters and using your arrow keys or mouse (or if you're on an iPad, your fingers) kern the letters. You will be rated out of 100 depending on how close you are to the 'typographer's solution'.

2. It's centered that

Test your skills and judge whether the dots are really in the middle of the shapes. It's the perfect game to see if you truly have the mystic designers eye. The games rules are simple: You'll play through a set of  10 shapes and tell if you believe the dot is in the center of the object, get one correct and you go forward, but you have to get all 10 correct to win the game. If you make one mistake, you'll have to restart. Can you do it?

3. Better web type

This game elaborates on the Equilateral Triangle of a Perfect Paragraph theory developed by Matej Latin  and puts it into practice. Its goal is to teach you about the three features that need to be considered for a perfect paragraph and help you train your eye.

4. The Bézier Game

Ever found yourself struggling with the pen tool? Then this is the game for you. The bezier game is an intuitive learning experience for all beginner and expert designers alike. The game will give you various shapes to trace using the pen tool within a limited amount of 'nodes'. 5. The Color game

It's the best game to test your eye for seeing color. you'll have to match the color wheel to the color shown in the center, you wil be playing against the clock. The more accurate ,the better you are. The game will test you in 6 color areas: Hue, saturation, complimentary, analogous, triadic, and tetradic.

6. Shape type game

Attention type nerds, did you know there are online games just for you? It's true, Shape Type is a new HTML5 typography game where you have to drag curve-adjustment tools to perfect letterforms in various font faces. The closer you get to the actual letter the higher your score.
